Money is an influential instrument for change. The economy is an incredibly influential human-made system. If economic priorities shift, if profit no longer drives industrial and personal decision-making, then wholesale changes can occur for other human-made systems like professional disciplines, education, healthcare, and even the justice system.
Economics do not need to perpetuate fierce competition and dishonesty, but can instead be a force for good. Units of exchange will persist, yet we envision a future in which the levers of economic pressure will ease for more fluid distribution, and sustainable management, of resources. Most of all, we see a future in which economic priorities reflect a desire for everyone to have their basic needs met and collective funds are used to support everyone’s path to self-realization.
